The Lord is my help and my shield.

disclaimer: The photo above has nothing to do with this post. I just thought you might like to see what I’ve been dreaming about lately.:)

Today my uncle Paul preached about how we mustn’t put our faith in people to help us in our daily situations, and how God wants us to trust him with EVERYTHING we go through. Sometimes I feel like God is my last resort/option. If the Ibuprofen didn’t work, or the doctors can’t do anything, I run to the Lord. Instead I must come to the Lord first and ask Him to use whatever method or people he desires to lead me through the situation.

Coincidentally (or not) the passage I read today correlated.

{ Sorry the picture is a bit goofy but I stumbled upon it when looking through old photos today and just HAD to use it:}

..and we’re back

“From the heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind

“From His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth

He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do

No king is saved by the size of his army;

No warrior escapes by his great strength.

A horse is a vain hope for deliverance despite all its great strength it cannot save

-BUT-

The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,

On those whose hope is in his unfailing love”

{Psalm 33:13,15-18}

May we all live this week allowing Him to be our help and our shield (33:20)
